Harendijke - Observation point

The viewpoint Harendijke is located in the dunes between Wenduine and Blankenberge, close to the beach of Harendijke and a short distance from the Western Pier.

What can you expect at viewpoint Harendijke?

It is a peaceful place to pause for a moment, enjoy the sea air and take in the view over the sea.

• Lovely view over the beach and sea: From the viewpoint, you look out over the wide beach of Harendijke, the North Sea and the coastline towards Wenduine and De Haan.
• View towards Blankenberge: On the other side, you can see the coastal buildings, the harbour entrance and the western breakwater of Blankenberge. Especially when boats are entering or leaving the harbour, this is a nice place to stop for a moment.
• Varied coastal landscape: In the surrounding area, you can walk past dunes, the beach, the seafront and paved walking paths. This makes it a pleasant landmark on routes along the coast.

Practical information

• Quiet stop during a walk: Viewpoint Harendijke is not a large panoramic platform, but rather a simple and pleasant spot where you can clearly experience the transition between Wenduine, the dunes and the busier atmosphere of Blankenberge. Ideal for a short pause during a walk.
• Nice for families: Watch the ships for a while, take a photo or enjoy the fresh sea air in the dunes. Afterwards, you can easily continue walking to the beach of Harendijke or towards the seafront of Blankenberge.
